PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Apex committee Friday reviewed overall law and order situation in the province and vowed to eliminate terrorism and extremism.
The meeting presided by Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan and attended by Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, Corps Commander Peshawar Lieutenant General Hidayat-ur-Rehman, Provincial Chief Secretary and others senior officials.
The committee reviewed the aftermath situation of terrorism at Bacha Khan University and progress on implementation of National Action Plan in the province and FATA.
The committee vowed to take ant-terror operations to its logical end of eliminating terrorism and extremism. The Apex committee also vowed ruthless response to facilitators of university attackers.
A committee, headed by commissioner Peshawar, was also formed to investigate the Bacha Khan University attack and submit report within five days.
An investigation committee headed by Commissioner Peshawar Division will investigate security arrangements on day of attack at the university.
On this occasion Fateha was offered for the martyrs of Bacha Khan University and Karkhano market.
