PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday passed a resolution presented by the women members of both opposition and treasury benches, condemning the child abuse incidents in Punjab, especially Kasur incident.
The resolution was tabled by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MPA Nighat Orakzai. The assembly unanimously approved the resolution. Zainab Kasur
The resolution expressed concerns over the increasing number of child abuse cases in Punjab. It stated that the Punjab government and police failed to arrest the accused involved in the brutal murder and rape of seven-year-old minor girl, Zainab, in Kasur.
