GHALANAI: A meeting of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cabinet was held in district Mohmand on Monday, which was chaired by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan.
Briefing newsmen along with Adviser to Chief Minister on Tribal Districts, Ajmal Khan Wazir, Provincial Information Minister Shoukat Yousafzai said the cabinet approved the draft of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Narcotics Control Bill 2019.
He said the cabinet decided to launch a special awareness campaign to discourage the use of ice drug in educational institutions. He said that the ammended Local Govt Bill was ready. He said that the bill would be presented in the cabinet for approval soon.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan inaugurated Rozgar Insaf Scheme in district Mohmand today.
Speaking on the occasion, he said this will help in overcoming unemployment in tribal areas.
Mahmood Khan said interest free loans will be provided to tribal youth, deserving people including women of district Mohmand will be benefitted from this scheme.
He said government has allocated one billion rupees for Rozgar Insaf Scheme.
Earlier talking to newsmen, adivsor to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tribal Districts Ajmal Khan Wazir said one hundred billion rupees will be spent on the development of tribal areas under NFC Award each year.
He said this programme will continue for ten years.
