KP CM expresses grave concern over increase in polio cases in province

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehmood Khan has expressed grave concern over increasing case of polio in the province.
He was chairing a meeting regarding increasing number of polio case in the province on Monday. The chief minister also suspended DHOs Bannu and Lakki Marwat over their poor performance and increasing number of polio cases in the southern districts. The meeting was also attended by PM’s focal person Babar Bin Atta.
The chief minister said that next anti-polio campaign would be started in the high risk districts. He said that the provincial government was ready for elimination of the polio virus from the province. He asked the volunteers to convince the parents for vaccination of their children. He said that strict action would be taken against those who were found involved in propaganda against polio vaccination.
