ABBOTTABAD: Secretary KP Environment Department Syed Nazar Hussain Shah Tuesday said that the success of
Billion Tree Plantation (BTP) drive could be measured by the fact that forest areas were increased by six percent.
He said this while inspecting BTP plantation in Hazara division. Syed Nazar Shah stated that positive and required results can be seen after BTP in all over the province, adding that after completion of the project we would continue plantation campaign in KP.
During his visit to Hazara division secretary environment inspected Ghandia, Sawar Gali and Bagnotar BTP plantation sites where officials of Forest department were also present.
He appreciated the role of forest department employees in plantation drive and also admired anti-encroachment campaign on the forest department property. While talking to the employees of forest department Syed Nazar Shah said that KP government is working on the scale up-gradation of the forest employees. …APP
