KP government not involved in self publicity: SC informed

ISLAMABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government on Tuesday informed the Supreme Court (SC) that it did not resort to its own publicity in advertisements.
During today’s hearing of a suo motu notice, secretary information of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa informed the court that he did not find any advertisement bearing photos of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan or Chief Minister Pervez Khattak.
The secretary added that he thoroughly scanned advertisements published by the provincial government from December 1, 2017 till February 28, 2018 but find no picture of the PTI Chief or CM.
While responding to a question as to why the provincial government had spent Rs. 240 million on advertisements, the secretary said that the advertisements were for public awareness and feedback.
On February 28, the chief justice had taken a suo motu notice of the ongoing publicity campaigns by the provinces of Punjab, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
