KP govt ready for local govt elections in tribal districts: CM

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehmood Khan has said that the provincial government was ready to hold local government elections in tribal districts.
He was addressing anti-corruption function at Nishtar Hall on Thursday. He said that the government was ready to hold local government elections in tribal districts. He said that more ministers would be inducted in the cabinet without any favouritism.
The chief minister said that the provincial government presented itself for accountability. Regarding investigation into Malam Jaba scam, he said that the NAB has complete record in this regard, adding that the government was ready to cooperate with the NAB. He said that the PTI was standing against corruption.
Meanwhile, presiding over a meeting,l Chief Minster Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehmood Khan directed to expedite work on CPEC related projects including Special Economic Zones and greater Peshawar circular rail project.
He said the huge resources of the province will be utilized for the economic development of the province.
Mehmood khan directed to prepare feasibility report and model of circular rail project.
The meeting was briefed that work on two energy projects will be launched soon.
