LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) Friday approved protective bail of the PTI Chairman Imran Khan in terrorism related cases and sought details of the cases registered against Imran Khan till Tuesday.
A two-member bench the high court heard Imran Khan’s applications for protective bail in terrorism cases. The bench, consisting of Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh and Justice Farooq Haider, approved protective bill in five cases registered in Islamabad till March 24 and three cases registered in Lahore till March 27.
Imran Khan’s lawyer informed the court that there are five cases registered in Islamabad and three in Lahore, and they want Imran Khan to appear before the relevant courts, but they do not have the details of some cases.
Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh remarked that they would only look at the cases for which they have received applications, and they cannot give a blanket bail to Imran Khan.
Imran Khan told the court that there are so many cases, and it is difficult to understand. He further said that an attack was carried out on his house, which had never happened before.
Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh advised Imran Khan to follow the system and review his things.
Imran Khan’s lawyers informed the court that 94 cases have been filed against the PTI chairman so far, and if six more cases are filed, it will be a century, like in cricket.
