PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa legal fraternity protest against murder of senior lawyer and former president Supreme Court Bar Association Latif Afridi continued for second consecutive day on Tuesday.

Lawyers boycotted proceedings of the higher and lower courts across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the call of The Peshawar High Court Bar Association to protest killing of the senior colleague.

Meanwhile, the Peshawar High Court Bar has indicated that it would fight the Latif Afridi’s murder case and added two more lawyers in the panel list. Among the lawyers on the team are Shabbir Hussain Gigyani, Muhammad Saeed Khan, Abdul Fayyaz, Hussain Ali, Barrister Amir Chamkani, and Asfandyar.

It is pertinent to mention here that senior lawyer Latif Afridi was killed after being shot six times outside the bar room at the Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Monday last.
