LHC accepts Hamza Shebaz’s plea for protective bail in Saaf Pani case

Hamza Shehbaz requests LHC to order Sanjrani to administer oath

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday granted protective bail to Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz in Punjab Saaf Pani Company case.
A two-judge bench headed by Justice Ali Baqar Najafi heard the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader’s plea in which he had stated that he feared that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) will arrest him.
Accepting Hamza’s plea, the court granted him protective bail till November 13 and ordered the NAB that PML-N leader not be arrested till the next hearing.
The bench also issued a notice to the accountability watchdog and summoned a reply on Hamza’s plea.
Earlier this year, NAB had summoned Hamza in connection to the Punjab Saaf Pani Company case.
