LHC extends Zaman Park operation suspension order till Friday

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has extended the order to stop the operation in Zamzama Park for arrest of PTI chief Imran Khan till Friday.
Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh of heard the plea of PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry to stop the police operation in Zamzama Park. Fawad Chaudhry’s lawyer informed the court that the Islamabad High Court has issued a decision.
The court asked Fawad Chaudhry’s lawyer where the applicant was, as the deadline for filing the application was 10 o’clock and it is serious that the applicant is not in court.
Fawad Chaudhry’s lawyer informed the court that the decision was reserved in the local court in Islamabad. The court remarked that read section 76, it is not just a matter. Whatever is happening is because nobody reads the law, they just talk, the court added
Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh further remarked that the solution to every problem is in the law and the constitution. Both parties have jammed the entire system, he said. “Sometimes you come to this court, sometimes you go to the Islamabad High Court”.
Fawad Chaudhry’s lawyer argued that it has become a political issue, to which the court said that both parties have created it, “we just need to follow the law.”
The court asked Fawad Chaudhry about the security issue, to which he told the court that the security issue is very serious.
The court extended its order about suspension of operation for arrest of Imran Khan and adjourned the hearing till Friday morning.
