Mardan’s shootout death toll reaches six: Police

MARDAN:The death toll of the bloody shootout between two rival groups here Thursday raised to six and injuring five others including a three years old child .Mardan police told APP that critically injured Baduzaman son of Fazlur Rehman later lost battle of life in a local hospital, raising death toll to six.
The shootout started after exchange of hot words among Akramullah Khan and Mudasir Groups at village Toru over a petty dispute soon after performance of Eidul Azha prayer at village Toru on Tuesday.As result of exchange of firing, six persons including Rajwali son of Hawas Khan, Sabir son of Waris Khan, Sirtaj son of Khanzada, Muhammad Hussain son of Bashir, Mubasir son of Bashir, Baduzaman son of Fazlur Rehman and Sirtaj son of Khanzda were shot dead.
Those sustained critical bullets wounds including Shahzad son of Abdul Wahab, Musa son of Sirtaj, Mst Shamiyana sister of Abdul Wahab, Ikram son of Noushera and Ahtesar Khan son of Liaqat sustained injuries. Police said Baduzaman and Sirtaj who were busy in reconciliation between rivals groups also received bullets that proved fatal for them.The rivals are stated to be relatives. Police claimed to have arrested two accused on the spot and recovered the repeater weapon used in  the firing. Police have registered case and started investigation.Later, the victims were laid to rest at their ancestral graveyard amid grief and sorrow in the entire village.– APP
