ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly (NA) Syed Khursheed Shah has said that the recent meeting between Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar will prove damaging rather than fruitful.
Talking to the media in Islamabad on Wednesday, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader said that the meeting was a routine matter and such meetings had always taken place; however, he said that this was not the appropriate time for the meeting.
He added that premier should have called on the Chief Justice in secret adding that the meeting would the CJP on defensive.
When asked to comment on the possibility of another National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO), Shah refrained from commenting and said, be it an NRO or judicial NRO, he won’t comment.
