Met office predicts rain, snowfall in hilly, Northern Areas

ISLAMABAD: Isolated showers lashed different areas including Malakand, Peshawar, divisions and upper FATA during last twelve hours.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, Dir received 11 millimetre rain, Parachinar five, Mirkhani four, Chitral three, Saidu Sharif, Peshawar and Drosh one millimetre rain each.
Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during next twelve hours.
However, rain and thunderstorm with light snowfall over the hills is expected at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Foggy conditions are prevailing in some plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad and upper Sindh during morning hours.
Temperature of some major cities recorded on Thursday morning:
Islamabad five degree centigrade, Lahore and Peshawar six, Karachi fifteen, Quetta minus three, Gilgit and Murree minus two and Muzaffarabad three degree centigrade.
