BARA: At least two children lost their lives while seven others fell unconscious due to reaction from preventive vaccines in Bara tehsil of Khyber Agency here on Wednesday.
According to details, nine children were fainted after vaccination who were rushed to Hayatabad Medical Complex. According to reports, two of the affected children lost their lives, while seven others were discharged after treatment.
According to coordinator FATA Cell EPI, investigation into the incident has been started, adding that the real cause of the deaths could only be ascertained after proper investigation.
He said that the vaccination campaign was going smoothly in FATA.
