Four doctors suspended after inquiry into child’s death from snakebite

PESHAWAR: A minor girl died of snakebite in Mohmand tribal district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa here on Tuesday as anti-snake venom vial were not available in the local hospitals.
According to details, a snakebite the girl when she was playing outside her home in Yaka Ghund area of Mohmand district.
As soon as the snake bite the minor girl, the parents took her to the Yaka Ghund hospital where on duty doctors said they had no anti-snake venom vial.
The family then took the victim to the Shabqadar Hospital where they also could not find the vial.
When her condition deteriorated, the duty doctor referred the girl to the Peshawar hospital but she died on way to the hospital.
