LAHORE: Former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani Thursday appeared before the FIA and recorded statement regarding missing Turkish First Lady Emine Erdogan’s necklace.
The prime minister recorded his statement before Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) investigation office and assured the FIA to return the necklace.
The necklace will be submitted by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Faisal Karim Kundi to the Prime Minister House on Friday.
The FIA on Sunday issued a notice to Gilani to return the necklace of Turkish First Lady.
The necklace was donated in 2010 by Mrs Erdogan for flood-stricken people and was disappeared prompting Interior Minister Chaurdhry Nisar Ali Khan to order the FIA to investigate the matter.
The FIA had warned Gilani that if the necklace was not submitted within three days a case will be lodged.
