LAHORE: An election tribunal on Wednesday adjourned hearing of NA-122 alleged rigging case till June 18.
The tribunal comprising Justice (retd) Kazim Ali Malik was hearing the election petition filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan challenging election of National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq from NA-122 Lahore constituency.
During the hearing, Imran Khan’s counsel Anis Hashmi submitting a consolidated statement advancing his arguments in connection with ballot papers, counterfoils and their legal status.
The tribunal heard the arguments at length and adjourned the matter till June 18 while directing Imran Khan’s counsel to continue his arguments on next date of hearing.
The tribunal also directed counsel to re-arrange consolidated statement and provide break-up. (APP)
