NAB arrests ex-chairman CDA, member finance

Government finalizes draft of new NAB amendment ordinance

ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Tuesday arrested former chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Imtiaz Inayat Elahi and member finance Saeed-ur-Rehman.
According to media reports, the two ex-bureaucrats have been arrested for misuse of power in Shakarparian Cultural Complex project case.
Elahi served as the CDA chairman from June 24, 2009 to December 9, 2011.
On Monday, the NAB approved supplementary references against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, inquiries against Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak for allowing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan to use official helicopter and Zulfikar Bukhari for his 15 offshore companies.
