NAB arrests two officials of AWKUM on corruption charges

Government finalizes draft of new NAB amendment ordinance

MARDAN: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa office arrested two 19-Grade officers of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM) on charges of corruption.
The officers arrested include Treasurer of Shafiq Ullah and Procurement Officer Pir Asfandyar who were accused of alleged involvement in corruption and embezzlement of the university funds.
According to a press release, both the accused in connivance with the then Vice Chancellor of the university, Dr. Ihsan Ali, purchased sub-standard IT and Lab equipment, chemicals and furniture from contractors of their choice in violating government procurement laws.
It is expected that more persons will be arrested in the case.


  1. in a baseless university indicating crime is itself a crime, I don’t know why is NAb doing this? I think they making Future Politician for the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. God Bless our National accountability bureau
