Nawaz to skip JUI-F’s APC, PML-N delegation to participate

ISLAMABAD: In a blow to Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s efforts to convince former prime minister Nawaz Sharif to participate the All Parties Conference (APC), as the later has decided to avoid the APC and send a PML-N delegation to attend the conference.
Nawaz Sharif met his younger brother and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif at the Parliament House on Tuesday.
The meeting which took place at Shehbaz’s chamber was also attended by senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Raja Zafarul Haq, Hamza Shehbaz, Ayaz Sadiq and Khawaja Asif.
During the meeting, it was decided that Nawaz Sharif would not attend the opposition All Parties Conference (APC) to be hosted by JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman. The conference would be attended by a PML-N delegation. It has also been decided that PML-N will support other opposition parties on issues of national importance.
