ABU DHABI: New Zealand Friday set a target of 210 runs for Pakistan in the second ODI of the three-match series in Abu Dhabi.
Ross Taylor (86*) scored his second consecutive fifty to help New Zealand post a respectable total, after Kiwi captain Kane Williamson won the toss and elected to bat first.
The visitors were in a precarious situation at 73-4 but a 75-run stand for the fifth wicket between Ross Taylor and Henry Nicholls averted the risk of being dismissed for a low total.
For Pakistan left-arm pacer Shaheen Afridi was the pick of the bowlers with four wickets for 38 runs.
