NZ resume batting after rain on third day of 2nd test

DUBAI: New Zealand Monday resumed batting at 24-0 after morning rain delayed the start of third day of the second Test against Pakistan in Dubai .
Pakistan had declared its first innings on 418-5.
New Zealand negotiated nine overs without losing a wicket for 24 under lights in overcast conditions before umpires called off the day with two overs remaining.
Opener Jeet Raval was unbeaten on 17 with three boundaries while Tom Latham was five not out.
New Zealand lead the series 1-0 after a narrow four-run win in the first Test in Abu Dhabi last week.
