Oil refinery accord: Centre asked to take Balochistan Assembly into confidence

QUETTA: The Balochistan Assembly Saturday asked the federal government to take the provincial assembly and parliament into confidence over signing of oil refinery agreement with the Saudi Arabia.
The provincial assembly, which met with deputy speaker Babar Musakhel in the chair, passed a resolution, which was presented by BNP-M MPA Sanaullah Baloch and provincial minister Eng Zamurk Khan Achakzai.
The provincial minister said that the federal government should take the provincial assembly and parliament into confidence before signing the agreement for building Oil Refinery in Gwadar.
Sanaullah Baloch said that the federal government should take care of the interests of the people of Balochistan in the agreement for the oil refinery.
The provincial assembly passed the resolution. The deputy speaker prorogued the session.
