PESHAWAR: At least one person was killed and three injured in exchange of firing between two rival groups over land disputes in Peshawar on Tuesday. Both sides used heavy weapons against each other.
The clash occurred between the Afridi tribe and former Deputy Speaker Mahmood Jan in the Regi area of the provincial capital. According to the police, both groups exchanged fire with heavy weapons, resulting in injuries to three individuals on both sides.
The area has witnessed an increased police presence in response to the armed confrontation.
On the other hand, hospital sources have reported that a body has been brought to the LRH Hospital, identified as Waqar Hassan. The deceased was associated with the Afridi tribe. The individual who lost his life had been brought to the hospital in critical condition and could not be saved.
