Opposition members of KP Assembly standing committees resign

PESHAWAR: The opposition members of the standing committees of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly have resigned from the committees in protest over development funds distribution issue.
Opposition leader Akram Khan Durrani has submitted resignations of the opposition members to the speaker Mushtaq Ghani. Durrani said that the government had committed to provide 35 per cent of the development funds to the opposition members. However, he added, that the government has backtracked on its promise and the opposition members have been deprived of their share in development funds.
