LAHORE: Seven political parties including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will protest against prolonged power outages and deaths of more than one thousand people due to heat wave in Karachi.
The protest demonstrations will be held at district and tehsil levels in Punjab.
Leadership of Tehreek-e-Insaf, Pakistan Peoples Party, Awami Tehreek, Muslim League Quaid, Sunni Ittehad Council, Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen and JUP had agreed to protest against the government at joint platforms in Punjab.
PPP Punjab President Manzoor Wattoo said that opposition parties will protest outside the Lahore Press Club today.
PML-Q leader Chaudhry SHujaat Hussain said the government claims everything is going well but hundreds of people have died in Sindh.
PTI leader Chaudhry Sarwar said the government lied to masses regarding load shedding.
