Opposition will prove its majority in Senate: Durrani

ISLAMABAD: The convener of the Rehbar Committee of the opposition parties Akram Khan Durrani has said that the opposition parties would prove its majority in the Senate during vote on no-confidence motion against chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani.
Talking to newsmen after the meeting of the committee, Durrani said that the meeting once again discussed the no-trust motion against chairman Senate. He said that the opposition has majority in the Senate, which would be proved in the house. He said that meeting condemned the arrest of the political leaders Asif Ali Zardari, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Nawaz Sharif, Saad Rafique. He said that the arrests could not demoralize the opposition parties.
According to reports, the committee also finalized strategy for July 25 black day rallies. PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will address the rally of the opposition parties in Karachi, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, president PML-N, will address rally in Lahore, while Maulana Fazlur Rehman of JUI-F and Asfandyar Wali Khan of the ANP would be leading the protest in Peshawar.
