PESHAWAR: Police on Tuesday carried out search and strike operations in different areas of Peshawar and arrested over 200 suspected people including criminals. Police claimed to have recovered arms from the custody of the arrested people.
The search operations were carried out on tip of secret information about criminals in different areas of Peshawar. 235 suspected people including criminals were rounded up during the operation. The security forces also recovered weapons from the possession of some of the suspects, including three short machine guns, 20 pistols, two rifles and rounds of cartridges. The suspected persons were shifted to undisclosed location for further investigation.
