Pak-China strategic talks begin in Beijing

BEIJING: Strategic talks between the foreign ministers of Pakistan and China formally began in Beijing on Tuesday.
According to reports, regional security situation and other matters came under discussion during the meeting between Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said Pakistan was desirous of peace in the region. “We thank China for supporting Pakistan in the difficult times.”
He said the endeavors of China for ridding the region of hostility and restoration peace was commendable.
The foreign ministers also discussed the Afghan peace process. Chinese FM lauded Pakistan’s role in eliminating terror and making efforts for peace in the region.
