Pakistan army donates over one billion rupees for dams fund

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Army has donated over one billion rupees to Supreme Court Fund for Diamer  Basha and Mohmand Dams on Monday.
According to ISPR, the COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa met Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar at Supreme Court of Pakistan. The COAS handed over cheque of Rs One billion (1005.919 M) as donation by Pakistan Army Personnel and its welfare organisations for Dam Fund.
Talking to the chief justice, the COAS said, “Pak Army shall continue to contribute towards nation building as a national institution”.
The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa also wrote a letter to the Chief Justice of Pakistan about the donation by the army officials and jawans.
The army chief said that the Pakistan army has donated about one billion rupees for dams funds. He said that the army officials have donated two-day salary while jawans contributed one day salary for the fund. The army welfare organization has also played its role donation.
