Pakistan decides to bat first against West Indies in 2nd ODI

SHARJAH: Pakistan captain Azhar Ali won the toss and opted to bat first in the second day-night One Day International game against West Indies in Sharjah on Sunday.
Pakistan captain Azhar Ali says: “We are going to bat first. Surface is pretty good, it takes a bit of time to settle down here. First of all, it is about putting runs on the board. And also it keeps low later, may not turn but that makes batting a bit tough. The pressure is always there in international cricket. As a team we are gelling really well. The best we can do is execute our plans. We are going with the same team.”
West Indies Skipper Jason Holder says: “I think we are starting well but not able to close out. To be honest, you need to have to positive intent. Once you do that, it all comes good. It is down to each and every individual. We have to work on our plans, especially slower balls in the middle overs. We have got one forced change. Shannon Gabriel has got a sore neck so Alzarri Joseph comes in.”
