WORCESTERSHIRE: Twenty-member Pakistan cricket team squad along with eleven support staff members have reached Worcestershire from Manchester.
Players and management reached Worcestershire by bus and will remain under quarantine there for fourteen days before flying to Derbyshire on July 13. Coronavirus tests of 31-member unit are also scheduled.
Pakistan team had Sunday reached Manchester on a chartered flight from Lahore and were seen coming out of the airport wearing masks and maintaining adequate distance between them.
The 10 Pakistan cricketers, who had tested positive for coronavirus in initial tests conducted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), were not included in the first set of contingent sent to England and will join players later if they test negative in next COVID-19 test.
Training sessions and practice match of Pakistan team are scheduled in Derbyshire. Bowling coach Waqar Younis and all-rounder Shoaib Malik will join them in last week of July.
Pakistan and England are scheduled to lock horns in three Tests and as many Twenty20 Internationals. The matches will be held without spectators.
