Pakistan to face Afghanistan in Asia Cup today

ABU DHABI: Pakistan and Afghanistan will take on each other in their Super Four clash of Asia Cup 2018 in Abu Dhabi today (Friday).
Pakistan defeated Hong Kong in its first match of the tournament and was beaten by arch rival India on Wednesday.
Afghanistan have won its two group matches against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
After defeating Bangladesh in the final match of the group stage by 136 runs on Thursday, Afghanistan will be looking to create another upset when they take on Green Shirts.
Spinner Rashid Khan scored a fifty and took two wickets as Afghanistan maintained their winning run in the tournament.
Meanwhile, Pakistan who were outclassed by Rohit Sharma-led India on Wednesday will be looking to bounce back from their defeat.
Earlier, Pakistan had defeated Hong Kong by eight wickets in their opening match of Group A.
Opening batsman Shan Masood while speaking to media on Thursday said, “Pakistan will not take Afghanistan lightly.”
“The team will play to their strengths,” he said, adding “There is no more room for mistakes.”
