ABU DHABI: After Test and one-day international (ODI) series, Pakistan and Sri Lanka are all set to lock horns in three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) starting from tomorrow (Thursday) in Abu Dhabi.
Mohammad Amir, who missed the ODI series after suffering from an injury in second Test, will join the team today after recovery. Aamir Yamin, Mohammad Nawaz and Umar Amin will also feature in the T20I squad.
Pakistan and Sri Lanka have faced each other in 15 T20Is till date, and the track record of the Green Shirts is better than the Islanders. Pakistan emerged victorious 10 times whereas Sri Lanka could only win five encounters.
The first two matches of the series will be played in Abu Dhabi on October 26 and 27, and the final game will be held at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on October 29. Foolproof security plan has been devised for the final match, and the security of the event has been handed over to Pakistan Army and Rangers.
It is worth mentioning here that Sri Lanka had clean swept the Green Caps in the two-match Test series and Pakistan made a comeback in the ODIs by whitewashing the Islanders 5-0.
