ISLAMABAD: Planning Minister says Pakistan’s profile has improved enormously in terms of investment destination.
Talking to a delegation of Abraaj Group in Islamabad on Thursday, he said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, improved economic indicators and law and order situation contributed to improve image of the country.
He said under Vision-2025, the government is restructuring portfolio of the productive sectors on cluster-based approach to transform agriculture, industry and mineral sectors.
He said Pakistan’s perception changed drastically last year. The world now recognizes Pakistan as next emerging success story.
The Minister said the country now needs to capitalize the changed perception of the country in the world. For it, the government is launching "Brand Pakistan" campaign to remove the country’s misconceptions in the world.
He said indigenous resources are being mobilized to develop an export thrust for the economy.
Meanwhile, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal says the government will launch a national level campaign this year to ensure hundred percent enrolment of school-going children by 2018.
He was talking to Head of Department for International Development Pakistan Ms. Joanna Reid in Islamabad on Thursday.
He said the Prime Minister and all Chief Ministers will lead this campaign to show strong commitment to education.
He said the government introduced National Curriculum Reforms, Examination System Reforms and Transformational Teacher Training initiatives for bringing radical changes in the education sector.
Ahsan Iqbal said the government is working to set university campuses in every district.
