Parliamentary advisory committee’s jirga to hold talks with PTM

PESHAWAR: The parliamentary advisory committee on tribal districts has formed a jirga for talks with the Pakhtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM).
Addressing a press conference after a meeting of the advisory committee, which was chaired by chief minister Mehmood Khan, the spokesman of provincial government Ajmal Wazir said that the committee decided that all decisions regarding the governance system and development in tribal districts would be taken in consultation with all political parties.
The meeting was attended by senators and MNAs from tribal districts including Ali Wazir, Mohsin Dawar. Ajmal Wazir said that the tribal districts would be brought at par with other districts and sense of deprivation among the people of tribal districts would be removed.
He said that a jirga for talks with the PTM has been formed. He said that all the members of the advisory committee would be the members of the jirga. He said that all the issues with the PTM would be resolved through talks. He said that jobs in Levies and Khasadar force would not be distributed. He said that legislation in this regard be completed soon.
