ISLAMABAD (Khyber News): The meeting of Pakistan Democratic Movement’s (PDM) steering committee has been convened on Thursday to review preparations for long march, Khyber News reported on Tuesday. According to sources, the meeting of the PDM steering committee will be held under the chairmanship of convener Ahsan Iqbal at the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Secretariat.
The meeting will review the preparations for the PDM’s long march against the incumbent government. Sources said that the opposition parties which are part of the PDM will brief the meeting on the strategy of the long march.
On the other hand, former prime minister and PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi while talking to media along with Ahsan Iqbal and Khawaja Saad Rafique said that a high level meeting of PML-N was held in Islamabad.
He said that the issue pending in the Supreme Court regarding the Senate elections came under discussion during the meeting. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that the Supreme Court has no right to amend the constitution of the Election Commission.
