ISLAMABAD: Former chief minister Pervez Khattak and former speaker national assembly Asad Qaiser have been arrested from Islamabad, sources said on Thursday.
A spokesperson of Asad Qaiser, has also confirmed that there is no contact with Asad Qaiser and Pervez Khattak.
The spokesperson of Asad Qaiser revealed that Asad Qaiser and Pervez Khattak went to an undisclosed location at 11 am to meet someone. However, he said, they have lost contact with them. The sources said that the PTI leaders have been into custody from Islamabad and shifted to unknown location. The government has not yet confirmed the arrest of the PTI leaders.
It should be noted that a few days ago, the PTI chairmaned announced a 7-member committee for talks, which included Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Pervez Khattak, Asad Qaiser, Haleem Adil Sheikh, Awn Abbas, Murad Saeed, and Hammad Azhar.
