PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court (PHC) has stopped Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) from announcing official results of the MDCAT till final decision on petitions of the students against use of unfair means.
The High court heard petitions filed against the practice of cheating in the MDCAT entry test through Bluetooth earpieces. The Peshawar High Court has halted the publication of MDCAT entry test results and has sought replies from the Chief Secretary, Executive Director of EATA, and the Registrar of PMDC (Pakistan Medical and Dental Council).
The court has ordered that the results of the MD entry test should not be uploaded on the official website until further notice. The court has scheduled the next hearing for September 21.
It should be noted that the petitions were filed by students to halt the release of MDCAT entry test results.
Meanwhile, a seven-member investigation committee has been formed for probe in the cheating in the MDCAT test.
The seven-member committee including IG special branch, special secretary higher education, special secretary health, additional secretary education, secretary home department, representative of intelligence agency, representative of Khyber Medical University.
