Playing a farewell game is my right: Shahid Afridi

KARACHI: Pakistan’s veteran allrounder, Shahid Afridi said that he deserves a farewell game and a respectful send off after serving the country for 20 years.
The 36-year old stated that he has discussed the matter with the PCB boss, Shahryar Khan. He also revealed that he wants to walk off from the international cricket with his bat raised high in front of his fans.
There were news circulating that Shahid Afridi has asked for a farewell game against the West Indies in the recently concluded series. However, due to the unavailability of Shahryar Khan and Najam Sethi, the idea was put on a halt.
Pakistan is scheduled to tour New Zealand and Australia next, but, both the tours do not have a single 20 overs format game.
Shahid Afridi was Pakistan’s captain during Asia Cup and the World T20, where the Men in Green put up a nightmarish show.
