PM, COAS briefed on security situation during Miranshah visit

RAWALPINDI: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday arrived in Miranshah, a town of North Waziristan.
During the visit, both were briefed on security situation, ongoing stability operations, socio-economic projects and rehabilitation of TDPs.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the PM will also visit Ghulam Khan Terminal/ border fencing and address jirga of local elders in Miran Shah.
According to sources prime minister is likely to announce a big package for Miran Shah that may include construction of universities, hospitals and sports complex. The districts formerly agencies in the erstwhile Fata were made after former president Mamnoon Hussain ratified the 25th Constitutional Amendment Bill into law earlier this year.
