PM Imran directs Punjab govt to take action against corrupt persons

LAHORE: Prime Minister Imran Khan Saturday directed Punjab cabinet members to take strict action against corrupt persons as corruption of elimination from Punjab was the biggest challenge.
He was co-chairing a meeting of the Punjab cabinet with chief minister Usman Buzdar in Lahore. The prime minister asked the cabinet members to set an example for other provinces by delivering on the PTI promises and 100-day agenda.
He told the ministers that identification of corrupt practices should be their top priority. He also expressed grave concern over encroachment of lands and properties in the province. He directed the Punjab government to take action against land mafias who were involved in illegal occupation of public properties. He also promised complete assistance to the provincial government in this regard.
The prime minister stressed on austerity and simplicity and directed the cabinet members to save taxpayers’ money.
The prime minister further urged the provincial ministers to work tirelessly for the implementation of his government’s 100-day agenda.
He said he would intermittently visit Punjab and review implementation of the 100-day plan.
