PM Imran takes notes of corrupt practices at check posts on highways

LAHORE: Prime Minister Imran Khan has urged Punjab Government to adopt innovative methods in governance.
He was chairing a meeting about Prime Minister’s Punjab Initiatives in Lahore on Saturday.
The Prime Minister said provincial government should pay its full attention on bringing about a significant change in the common man’s life.
He reviewed implementation of Punjab Government’s targets in the first hundred days.The meeting discussed various proposals and their implementation for transformation in governance in Punjab and a positive change in the life of common man.
Earlier, addressing a ceremony after laying the foundation stone of a shelter home in Lahore, Prime Minister Imran Khan said the government will soon launch a comprehensive poverty alleviation program in the country.
Prime Minister said that shelter home will provide three time free food to poor people.
The Prime Minister said coordinated efforts will be made by engaging all the organizations working for welfare of people to alleviate poverty in the country.
He said the government will benefit from China’s experience of bringing seven hundred million people out of poverty in thirty years.
Expressing his resolve to make Pakistan a truly welfare state, Imran Khan said establishment of Shelter Home for homeless people in Lahore is the first step to this direction.
PM Imran said, “There was a concept of monarchy in Punjab and ministers were used to luxuries.”
