KARACHI—Newly-elected PM Shehbaz Sharif paid a visit to mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah after reaching Karachi on a one-day tour on Wednesday.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and his cabinet received and welcomed the prime minister in the provincial capital.
During his visit to mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Shehbaz Sharif laid floral wreath while he also offered fateha at the graves of Fatima Jinnah and Liaquat Ali Khan.
During his visit, he is expected to meet coalition partners of the government, Pakistan people’s Party and Muttahida Quami Movement-Pakistan, who earlier today refused to join federal government
Contrary to former prime minister Imran Khan’s tenure where all federal government meetings in Karachi were held at the governor’s house, the prime minister and provincial ministers will meet at the Chief Minister’s House. PM Shehbaz Sharif is accompanied by Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Marriyum Aurangzeb, and Miftah Ismail.
