PM to hold talks with Iranian President on bilateral, regional issues

TEHRAN: Prime Minister Imran Khan is in Tehran on his two-day official visit to Iran to hold talks with Iranian leadership on bilateral and regional issues.
On his arrival at Tehran International Airport, the Prime Minister was warmly welcomed by Iranian Health Minister Dr Saeed Namaki.
A smartly turned out contingent presented a static salute to him.
The Prime Minister is accompanied by a delegation comprising Minister for Human Rights Dr. Shireen Mazari, Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi, Adviser on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood, Special Assistant on Overseas Pakistanis Sayed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari, Special Assistant on National Health Services Dr. Zafarullah Mirza and Special Assistant on Petroleum Nadeem Baber.
The Prime Minister will call on Iran’s Supreme Leader Seyyed Ali Khamenei and hold in-depth talks with President Dr. Hassan Rouhani today (Monday).
He will also meet Pakistani and Iranian business community during this visit.
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived at Mashhad for a brief stop-over before proceeding to Tehran.
Governor General Khorasan e Razavi province Ali Reza Razm Hussaini received the Prime Minister upon arrival at Shaheed Hashminejad airport Mashhad. On the occasion they also exchanged views on matters of mutual interest.
Meanwhile, during his stay in Mashhad, the Prime Minister visited the shrine of Imam Reza (AS), and offered Dua and Nawafil.
Earliers, Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday met Health Minister of Iran Dr Saeed Namaki soon after his arrival in Tehran on a two-day official visit.
During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral ties and matters of mutual interest.
On his arrival at Mehrabad Airport of Tehran, the health minister, also minister-in-waiting, received the prime minister, who is visiting the Islamic neighbouring country on the invitation of President Dr Hassan Rouhani.
The prime minister along with a high level delegation arrived in the Iranian capital city after a brief stopover in Mashhad where he paid respects at the shrine of Hazrat Imam Raza (AS).
