LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League –Nawaz (PML-N ) has strongly condemned the arrest of former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi by the NAB.
The PML-N President and opposition in National Assembly Mian Shahbaz Sharif Thursday condemned the arrest of Abbasi and alleged that the NAB was being used for political victimisation.
Vice president of the PML-N Maryam Nawaz in her reaction on twitter said, “another prime minister appointed by your votes arrested. Will this injustice, insult be faced by those elected by your votes”.
Talking to newsmen, the PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said that a photocopy was hurriedly fetched by the NAB officials in order to justify the arrest. She said that the former prime minister was arrested on an unattested warrant’s photocopy.
“This is new Pakistan, this is Imran Niazi’s Pakistan,” she continued, adding that the arrests in the guise of accountability were taking place only with the PML-N.
Speaking on this occasion, PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal said that the name of NAB should be changed to ‘PML-N Accountability Bureau’. Iqbal said that they will not let Imran Khan become ‘Pakistani Hitler’.
