PML-N demands parliamentary probe into NAB’s chairman tape leaks

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), PML-N has demanded parliamentary investigation into Chairman NAB’s tape leaks on Friday and alleged that the prime minister was pressurizing the accountability bureau for taking action against the opposition.
Addressing a press conference here on Friday, former prime minister Shahid Khaqqan Abbasi said that the justice is the right of every person and chairman NAB should also get justice in tapes leak case. He said that the parliamentary party leader of the PML-N Khwaja Asif would move a motion in the national Assembly on Monday for formation of parliamentary committee for investigation into the case.
He said that the committee should investigate that who is behind the leaks. “We think the chairman NAB is being pressurized and blackmailed,” he said.
He questioned that on whose order, opposition leader was kept under remand for 17 days.
Meanwhile, opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif also demanded parliamentary committee for investigation into the leaks.
