QUETTA: Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had revived the country’s economy, energy and security in the last four years.
Talking to media in Quetta on Thursday, he said that a new benchmark would be set when the incumbent parliament completes its second tenure under the government’s watch.
Responding to on opposition parties’ claims that the ruling party has indulged in a National Reconciliation Order-like deal, the federal minister said that government’s ‘NRO’ was the “nation’s revival order”.
He added that the opposition and Pakistan Awami Tehreek’s (PAT) proposed ‘all parties conference’ should be an exercise of national unity rather than of protest sit-ins.
Ahsan Iqbal said instead of pulling each other’s legs, everyone should work together for the country’s betterment.
He stated further that India was using Afghanistan to foment instability in Pakistan so it could make the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) unsuccessful.
The minister added convicted Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav has accepted that India was pumping millions of dollars to ensure CPEC’s failure.
