PPP leaders can’t be arrested on minister’s wish: NAB

NAB

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has taken notice of Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry’s media talks about arrest of PPP leaders and said that former president Asif Ali Zardari, chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Faryal Talpur could not be arrested on the minister’s wish.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the NAB said the accountability bureau was waiting for the written decision of the Supreme Court. “After receiving the attested decision of the Supreme Court, the law would take its own course”. The NAB rejected the perception regarding inaction in this regard, saying that the NAB work under constitution and law.
The NAB also decided to ask the PEMRA for providing the statements and interviews of the ministers.
